Cayan Setup on Windows POS

Prerequisites

To set up your Erply account to accept payments through Cayan, users must have a Cayan merchant account. The following credentials are provided by Cayan:

You will also need to install the Cayan Root Certificate from here.

Download the file, and click to install it. When prompted, browse to install into the Trusted Root Certification Authorities folder. The install process for the certificate varies for different operating systems and browsers. Step 1: Device setup – Verifone MX915

  1. Connect the payment device to the same local network as the POS terminal.
  2. Connect the payment device power cable
  3. Press 0 three times on device keypad
  4. Enter password “9416557”
  5. Read and record the device IP address from device display

Step 2: Device update – Verifone MX915

Device update may take place automatically, but it’s recommended you do it manually on first install.

  1. Press 0 three times on payment device keypad
  2. Enter password “9416557”
  3. Press button “Update”

Step 3: Set up back office

In this step you will set which of the registers are going to use Cayan (Merchant Warehouse) as the payment provider. Repeat the steps for each register.

  1. Open ERPLY back office.
  2. Go to Retail Chain > Registers
  3. Select register to associate with the Cayan device
  4. Change “Card payment terminal / card swiper” value to “Merchant Warehouse” Press Save

Step 4: Setup Berlin POS with EPSI running

In this step you will set the account each register will be connected to as well as the IP address of the payment device. Repeat steps for each register.

  1. Make you have Java installed on your computer. If it is not, follow this link https://java.com/en/ and install it.
  2. Open Berlin POS in a secure window (https://app.erply.com/live). To open a secure session, just double click on the EPSI icon on your desktop.

NOTE: EPSI icon looks like this:

  1. You must log in as a user who is set up as an administrator in User Groups.
  2. Go to Setting > External Device integration. Click on Download and Install. Follow the instructions and install EPSI on your computer.

  1. Go to: Settings > Payment configuration
  2. On the Payments configuration page, under General, click “Setup Payment Gateways.” This will pull up the Merchant Warehouse setup form.
  3. Fill in the fields: a. Store (The Location your register is associated with) b. MerchantName (see Prerequisites) c. MerchantSiteId (see Prerequisites) d. MerchantKey (see Prerequisites) e. DeviceIP (see Device setup) – use port 8443 (ex. 192.168.11.113:8443)
  4. Press **Save

Step 5: Setup Windows POS

Now you will need to set up Windows POS with the few information similar to the ones you set up on Berlin POS. Open ERPLY POS for Windows and make sure EPSI is running as well.

Click on the gear icon to enter Windows POS settings:

Click on EPSI to configure the ERPLY integrator with the proper IP address and port number:

Fill in the IP address with the same IP address you got from the Cayan device on STEP 1 or STEP 2:

Click on Save EPSI Configuration at the bottom, click on Test Connection to see if Windows POS is communicating with Cayan and click. If the configurations is successful, you should be able to see a success message showing up.

Finally, process a test sale to make sure everything is working as expected.
