Location Card

A “Location” in ERPLY is one place where you hold stock. Stock can be moved between locations, registered into a location, and sold from a location. Employees can be restricted to only seeing information from the location(s) at which they work. Locations can have one or more registers associated to them. Registers associated to a location will sell stock only from that location. Prior to creating a location, updating your company information is advised. With an address entered in company information, it can be automatically filled into a Location.

Your company information can be found by selecting the ‘My Company Information’ option from the Setting module drop-down module.

You can add an address and change the address type at the bottom of the page:

After adding an address and clicking the small save icon which will appear on the address line to the right of the edited address, you will be able to select it from the “Location” card.

NOTE: When adding multiple addresses, each individual address must be saved using their save icon.


To create a new location, select the ‘+’ next to the Locations option in the drop-down menu of the Retail Chain module.

Any address saved in Company Information will be available for selection in the Address tab as shown below. Price lists, contact information, and regional settings can be selected in this page.

User permissions can be altered in the lower left corner:

When satisfied, select Save.


To get to your location card, go to the Retail Chain module and select the “Locations” option. Once you are in the “Locations” card, click on a particular location:


Step 1: Click on the "Retail Chain" icon & select the "+" icon next to Registers

Step 2: Select the location the register should be associated to. Any items sold through this register will come out of stock from this location.

Step 3: You will now be able to add a name for your Register along with other settings related to this Register.

Step 4: At this point, if you have already set up tax rates in ERPLY, you may consider setting your tax rate for this register. For more information about setting up taxes in ERPLY, see our document on creating and applying tax rates, located here.

Step 5: Click on the “Save” icon located on the top right of this card when you have completed these steps.
